Kim is a Registered Speech Language Pathologist with the BC College of Speech and Hearing professionals and has over 10 years experience working with children with various speech and language delays and disorders. She is passionate about working with children and their families towards reaching their communication goals through a family centred and strengths based approach. Kim has experience assessing and treating a variety of areas including speech, language, feeding, play, social communication, early literacy and the use of low and high tech augmentative and alternative (AAC) tools. She has worked with children with various developmental conditions including but not limited to Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder. Kim has also conducted several groups and workshops for parents on early language development, sign language and early literacy skills.
Kim’s additional training includes Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Hanen certified in “It Takes Two to Talk” and “More than Words” , DIR Floortime and Theory of Mind.
Kim is on the RASP list.
